Programme Objectives
The main objective of the Accelerator Programme is to support innovative business ideas based on or related to the blue economy and macroalgae (seaweed), to help mature their business models, and to facilitate their engagement with investors.
Applications are open to ventures at all stages (idea, concept, early-stage, and advanced-stage). There is no requirement for an MVP, sales, or company incorporation.
Within the scope of the Accelerator Programme, participants will benefit from:
- Training and mentorship support
- Business model development workshops
- Demo Day and investor pitch sessions
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals and teams meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- Startups developing macroalgae (seaweed), microalgae, or algae-based solutions, or whose products/services directly or indirectly involve algae
- Teams that use or plan to use macroalgae or algae in areas such as materials, food, feed, fertilizer, bioplastics, textiles, architecture, design, environmental applications, carbon capture, waste management, and water treatment
- Ventures with business ideas focused on blue economy, sustainability, climate action, circular economy, and nature-based solutions
- Idea-, concept-, design-, or prototype-level initiatives at early or advanced stages, including those that have not yet generated sales
- Individuals and teams aiming to transform their ideas into scalable startup models or currently working toward that goal
