During the visit, meetings were held with the Usa Marine Biological Institute of Kochi University, Hokkaido University, Kayou Bussan and Umi no Kenkyusha to discuss macroalgae-related practices in Japan.
The meetings focused on macroalgae collection processes, production models, areas of use and scientific studies carried out in this field. The visit contributed to examining international experiences and practices related to macroalgae management on-site.
