The workshop was organized to facilitate an in-depth discussion of methods through face-to-face interaction among representatives from Türkiye (Sinop University), Bulgaria (Konstantin Preslavsky University of Shumen), and Georgia (Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University). Over two days, the research capacities of the partners were examined through needs assessment reports focusing on the use of algae in bioplastic and fertilizer production. It was decided to purchase the necessary equipment to conduct pollution, fertilizer, and bioplastic tests and analyses in existing laboratories, and the partners jointly formulated the technical specifications. The 15 activities planned for the 30-month project duration were thoroughly reviewed, with a focus on improving research methodologies and enhancing the capacity of research teams.
